UPDATE: The new school is completed and has been in full use since April 2019! We had a wonderful opening celebration on March 29/2019 with hundreds of people in attendance including a group from St. Andrews-Wesley United Church, one of the sponsoring Churches.

Sponsored Students
Since 2012 girls have been sponsored in Chwitiziribal to go to High School and beyond. This year we have 14 students sponsored at various levels of high school, vocational school and university! All these students attended the elementary school in Chwitizirbal and are an inspiration to the younger students about what is possible for them!
This project has transformed these girls, their families and this community! Thank you incredible and generous sponsors! |
The dream of new school

Article 29: Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities. It should also help you learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people. |
The process
LAND: work with a lawyer to ensure documentation for the permanent use of the land for the school.
ARCHITECTURAL: work with the Architect on engineering and building designs. FUNDS: Continue the process of gathering funds for costs associated with this project. CONSTRUCT: tender a small construction company and use volunteer labour to be harnessed among the villagers and parents. CELEBRATE: Open the new school! |
