World PilgrimWorld Pilgrim's Director, Doris Kizinna, first went to Chwitziribal when she was studying Spanish in Quezaltenango, Guatemala in 2009. She fell in love with this little school and the children. She now organizes travel experiences to Guatemala along with Julio Cochoy and Eduardo Elias. Part of the experience allows people to spend a day or two at the school sharing time with the students and the families.

St. Andrews-Wesley United ChurchSt. Andrew's Wesley United Church sponsored the building of the first new classroom in 2011 and raised thousands of dollars to build the classroom. It has become a cherished room in the school used by the oldest class and also often used as a community room. In 2017 the church kicked off this funding campaign and raised $6000 during their Lenten Project specifically for this project. We have great gratitude for this church who continues to be connected to this village and to Guatemala.
